**_I've seen lots of old posts on the forum about the incompatibility of WebX and mobile devices. Has this changed with the latest version of WebX and ClearSCADA 2015 R2? Can WebX be accessed practically from mobiles or are there still limitations?_**
-------------------------
AWoodland: Still some limits, everything in IIS WebX is HTML5 on the new WebX except for mimics and lists. Those still need IE as they use ActiveX for those for now.
Old ViewX is the same old IE only.

SteveDel: So we cant use our Iphones to Webx into our projects?

Yes, that is the general idea (except for mimics and lists as mentioned above), although a phone is probably too small and CSMobile is perhaps more suitable still. Tablet might be a better example.
-------------------------------
jwiles: It seems that the new WebX is ideally suited to be accessed from a wide variety of browsers and devices - except that it is only accessible via IP port 85. Most devices will only allow IP traffic on port 80 and will block port 85.
Is it possible to configure the new WebX to use anything other than port 85 ? It would be great if it could be configured to use port 80 instead of the original WebX.
-------------------
AWoodland: New WebX is hosted in IIS, so it is a standard IIS feature you need to change. New WebX is still reliant on Old WebX and expects to find it on port 80 though, so to change things a couple of changes are required.
Robzilla56: Adam I saw you post above says still uses active x "for now"....It's now two years later. Can you say if changes are in the works? I know that alot of my clients see not being able to have the mimics as a huge draw back.

sbeadle: Hi Rob,
changes are in the works - drop me an email if you want to discuss.

AWoodland: Also note that with the availability of 2017 R2 the changing of the ports that Dustin documents becomes much simpler, check the release notes for more info.
