Hi everybody,

Is there a way to customize the Trend user interface, adding for example shourtcut button to call function like:

- changing the displayed day (with calendar for DateTime selection);

- overlaying different days for the same signal;

- moving the trend rigidly one day after or before

The trends are pretty rigid in terms of available controls.  There are a set number of such context menu options, and that's what you get.

As for:

• changing the displayed day (with calendar for DateTime selection);

You can do this by changing the time period for the trend (using the Goto Time) context menu option.

• overlaying different days for the same signal;

You can do this by adding another trend, and then configuring it with a time offset.  I can't recall if that's available for the Raw Historic trends.  But certainly it's available for Processed Historic.

It's worthwhile you reading up in the online help about the trends.  That will give you information on what the capabilities are, and what the limitations are.  I think your questions could have been addressed with a reading of that online help.

Yes, I noticed that trends are pretty rigid. I read the documentation about the Trend for its customization.

My doubt was related to the possibility to add specific preconfigured command within the visualization page, to perform the above actions, instead to navigate the context menu options (opening it by right click, find the function, and so on...).

This born by a customer request to make it easier for operators to navigate trends.

Nope.  No customisation of the trend display itself is possible.

Normally what we'd do is use an embedded trend, and then have controls on the mimic hosting the trend to allow for some minor tweaks.  There's really not much available in this manner however, so it often ends up just throwing up the closest trend you can get for the operator (based on desired operator settings) via TrendSpec... and then it's in the operator's hands to use the built-in ViewX pre-configured trend controls (operator training is vital here.. the trends are powerful and complex).
