I want to use Geo SCADA OPC UA client driver to connect to Prosys OPC UA Simulation server.
I tried to connect with Endpoint (Sign - Basic256). I created client certificate and key using "openssl req" command then imported it to GeoSCADA database but this didn't work for me.
GeoSCADA didn't send the certificate to the Prosys OPC UA Simulation server to trust it. I have manually copied the client certificate into Prosys OPC UA Simulation server trusted certificates and I got the following error in the GeoSCADA OPC UA client driver log file:
(Calling UaSession::UaClientSdk::UaSession::connect
Connecting to the following Endpoint: opc.tcp://MMC-SERVER:53530/OPCUA/SimulationServer
connectError called. clientConnectionId: 0, serviceType: OpenSecureChannel, error: BadUnexpectedError, overridable: false
Connection status changed to ConnectionErrorApiReconnect)
Any suggestions? I'm in a critical situation with the client which has a Kepware OPC UA Server with Endpoint (Sign - Basic256) and need to connect our GeoSCADA v84 (October 2022 update) to it using OPC UA client driver.

I have not tried anything with OPC UA yet but you might want to just try with Kepware. You can install Kepware and test with it on a development system. It has like a two hour demo runtime. You can just use its default demo database which has simulated IO. After 2 hours you have to stop and start the Kepware service to continue testing with it. Some of their drivers also support putting a device in simulation mode.

Thanks!
I'm testing on a simulation OPC UA server and the issue is that Geo SCADA OPC UA client driver didn't send the imported client certificate to the OPC UA Server when connect to the server and then the server refuse our client connection.

@sbeadle, I have read your post (Creating a Certificate for the Geo SCADA OPC UA Client) and I have created the certificate and imported it to the database but the problem is that when the Endpoint is not None - None then the Geo SCADA OPC UA Client didn't send the certificate to the destination OPC UA Server.
I have tried also Geo SCADA Expert 2022 (v85) but I have the same problem which is that Geo SCADA OPC UA Client is not able to connect to a third party OPC UA Server when the Server Endpoint is not None - None.

I was just thinking that since you said that Kepware is what the customer is actually using you could try it. Maybe it does something a little differently in the connection process and it happens to works.
Anyway I hope you get it figured out soon.
