Extend ClearSCADA 2017 R3 WebX with SSO (Single SignOn)

Hello,

We would like to explore the possibility of extending ClearSCADA 2017 R3 WebX with Single Sign-On (SSO), using the WebX SDK or an equivalent method. The goal is to allow users who have been authenticated externally—e.g., via Azure AD—to access WebX without being prompted for login credentials.

Ideally, WebX or ClearSCADA would use the authenticated token, claims, or equivalent information in the HTTP headers to map the user to the appropriate account and establish a valid session.

Does anyone have experience or insights on how to achieve this?

ClearSCADA 2017R3 is long since out of support.

It will not receive any functional enhancements.  You will need to upgrade to the recent versions of GeoSCADA Expert to get such additional functionality.

SSO is supported under GeoSCADA Expert 2023.
