Is the "Card Reader Power" specified in the datasheet applicable per reader input or for the total controller output?

Cause
The datasheet does not clearly specify whether the listed reader power is for each individual reader input or the combined total for the controller.
Resolution
The reader current available, as specified in the ACXII datasheet, refers to each individual reader input, not the total output of the controller.
Power Configuration Details
Each reader input on the ACX57xx controllers can be configured using onboard jumpers to supply either:
- +5VDC @ 120mA, or
- +12VDC @ 180mA
Reader Input Capacity
- ACX5720: 4 reader inputs
- ACX5740: 8 reader inputs
Important Note
If a card reader requires peak current that exceeds the above limits, it must be powered by an external power supply.
