Resolution

To program the scan rate object for UNC696/796 controllers, follow these steps:

1. Object Allocation

   • The scan rate object is assigned to Object Number 252.

2. Create a New Analogue Input (AI) Object

   • Navigate to a suitable location within the index structure of the controller.
   • Create a new AI object using Object Number 252.

3. Configure the Lookup Table

   • Set the Lookup Table to 2000.

4. Assign a Short Text Description

   • Choose an appropriate short text label.
   • If none exists, create a new one, such as:

     Scan %1.0f SPM
     

     (This format displays the scan rate in Scans Per Minute.)

5. Download the Object

   • Save and download the newly created object to the controller.
   • Wait approximately 1 minute and then verify the scan rate value.
