Unable to establish communication with an EF1 electricity meter via Modbus protocol.

Cause
Incorrect Modbus configuration or wiring setup may prevent communication with the EF1 meter.
Resolution
To ensure successful communication with the EF1 electricity meter, verify and apply the following settings:
Modbus Communication Settings
- Protocol: Modbus RTU
- Baud Rate: 9600
- Data Bits: 8
- Parity: Even
- Stop Bits: 1
- Termination: Fit a 120-ohm resistor across the RS-485 connections

- U+ (Power Supply): 7–24 VDC (tested with 12–15 VDC)
- B Connection: IC3-Modbus Terminal C2
