Cause
Cold starting an NPR 2000 is a common troubleshooting technique to clear up a number of communication problems that may arise.
Resolution
If said NPR stops communicating and doesn't come back no matter what, you should cold start it and do a software restore. (See that procedure in How to cold start an NPR 2000.)
