Cause
The field device and Modbus registers can be tested with the Modbus simulator to ensure the device is set up correctly and communication is working.
Resolution
Once a device is tested with the Modbus simulator, the live Modbus device can be implemented with confidence knowing that the setup in the Server is correct.

Review the following video to assist with the following:
- Run the ModRSim application
- Setup the simulator to display the values you need to test
- Adjust values checking that they are updated by the polling device
- Display the Modbus traffic and capture traffic if fault finding is needed.
