Cause
The Enterprise Network Server needs to function as a Modbus master or slave device. ENS-MOD only licenses the Enterprise Network Server to function as a Modbus master device. It does not license it to operate as a Modbus slave device.
Resolution
ENS-MOD only licenses the Enterprise Network Server to function as a Modbus TCP master (client) device. As of 2013, the ENS can also be licensed as a Modbus TCP Server (slave) using the part number ENS-MOD-SL.
