CyberStation displays a DCom or similar error message during operation.
- Extended logging errors may appear.
- CyberStation may show “Error connecting to database” yet continue running.
- Alarms may not appear in the Active Alarm window.

Cause
This issue typically arises from a PC-level fault or a CyberStation configuration error that prevents proper database connectivity. Potential causes include:
- Hard disk or RAM failure
- Corrupted CyberStation installation
- Network or permission issues
Further investigation is recommended to determine the root cause.
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
- Reinitialize the database
- Ensure all CyberStations are shut down before proceeding.
- For LAN installations, select “Server” mode.
- For standalone setups, use “Stand Alone” mode.
- Reinitialize the workstation
- Close CyberStation completely.
- Restart the workstation and launch CyberStation to test connectivity.

- If the issue persists after reinitialization, consider checking system logs, hardware diagnostics, and reinstalling CyberStation.
