Want to connect an Automation Server to a 3rd party system as an MSTP device, is this supported?
Resolution
An Automation Server operating as a device on a third party BACnet MSTP network is NOT a supported solution.
An MSTP network needs to be managed and usually accessed from a network master, the AS is designed to be that device.
The Automation Server is supported as the management and routing device for an MSTP network.
From the PIC statement, an Automation Server will operate as a MSTP Master.
