Issue

The "Short Form Edit" command is not available by default in the BAS 2800+ user interface, which may limit user customization and quick access to editing functions.

Cause

The "Short Form Edit" command is not pre-configured in the default system setup and must be manually added to the user menu.

Resolution

To add the "Short Form Edit" command to a user menu:

1. Navigate to:
   System Setup → User Menus

2. Create a New Command:

   • Select "New Command"
   • Fill in the command details as follows:
     • Menu Text: Short Form Edit
     • Executable Path: C:\BAS\BIN\BASPNTSF.EXE
     • Command Line Options: {Osn No} {Pnt No} sf
     • 

3. Add the Command to Menus:

   • Once created, assign the new command to the relevant user menus where quick access is needed.
