BACnet Schedules
Cause
When a BACnet schedule is created on a BACnet controller, the system automatically sets the "Effective To Date" to one year from the creation date.
If this date is not updated, the schedule will expire and cease to function.
Resolution
- Always verify and update the "Effective To Date" when configuring or reviewing BACnet schedules.
- Consider setting a longer validity period or implementing a recurring review process to prevent unexpected schedule expirations.
Additional Tips:
- Use calendar reminders or automation scripts to audit schedules periodically.
- Document schedule creation and expiry dates as part of your standard operating procedures.
