smart 1500 battery help please

im planning(or hoping to) take my (model# SUA1500) to my cabin for AC power use.i plan on using 4 six volt golfcart batteries to run the 1500.
will this work? thanks.

so far its working great.charging the batteries with my wind turbine.the 1500 hasnt skipped a beat.:)

from the APC side of things, we cannot condone this or tell you to do it. this would void any remaining warranty left on the product you are using. please proceed at your own risk. anyone else is welcome to post.

Mine is waaay out of warrenty so thinking of doing the same as the official batteries in Kenya are stupid prices that it's not even worth considering (please APC can you do something about this)

I'm thinking of the sealed lead acid Deep cycle marine battery route

What AH batteries were the ones you were using? I may get 2 x 75ah 12v batteries but wondering if the battery charger will cope?
