I have a Smart UPS 1000XL with a set of extra batteries for this UPS. The UPS works fine as is but I would like to add the extra batteries that I have to provide a longer run time. I know that this UPS supports up to 10 addition battery packs. What I'm trying to figure out is can I just buy the connector required for the UPS, connect the batteris, add the connector to the batteries and plug the additional battery pack into the UPS?
I've searched the internet for a few days and have found people doing some very creative stuff, but it seems like this should be pretty straight forward. I'm amazed this question hasn't been asked/answered before now. If it has please point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

anyone else is free to respond but as far as APC is concerned, we cannot provide any details or support this type of configuration. you can proceed at your own risk though. it would also void any remaining warranty, if there is one.
