First I'm considering the br1000g model. Second I have Win 7 64 bit OS.
My question is is the powerchute software for win 7 64 bit compatible? Second I have at the moment a tripplite 1000lcd which worked fine til I upgraded now if I use it with the usb cable connected my computer doesn't recognize it. So what about apc's ups cable is it true usb or a serial to usb cable. The tripplites cable looks like it's pure usb but it's not according to tripplite. So I wonder if apc's is the same way?
Thanks
Brad

here is the powerchute compatibility chart for reference -> http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/JNOE-7GSAQJ_R9_EN.pdf
also, the cable that is used with Back UPS is the RJ-45 to USB cable, AP9827 -> http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=AP9827
it is an APC specific/proprietary cable.
