Normally, for the fastest response, you should contact APC Technical Support via phone. The numbers for various countries can be found here. However, that support is Monday-Friday 8AM-8PM Eastern Time in the US. So an APC person may see your post here and answer it before Monday.
I don't use PowerChute (my units all have network management cards), but there is probably some sort of event log available. That might be in the "Technical Data" or "Current Status" on the left side of the screenshot you posted. Information may also be available on the unit's front panel, either LEDs and/or LCD display. If you could post all of that info here, that will help anyone familiar with your UPS model to give you advice.

Liz,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I had to research the error. I have a few questions, is this device BX1000G? If yes, what's message on the LCD screen and buzzer at that time? Can the UPS still provide output power when PCPE shows this alarm? I assume it happened during or just after a self-test ran? This dialog should be thrown when a Self test fails because of the charger module failure.

Hi,
F06 indicates a Relay Weld which means one of the relays is in a locked/stuck position and is not functioning properly. You did the right thing replacing the unit. If the unit is less 2 years old you can contact Technical Support for a replacement. In the U.S. the number is 800-890-4272.
