computer won't stay on

When I pull the plug from the wall on the BN600G, the computer dies. No power. Also the light is yellow, not green.

It's a brand new unit. Is there a trick to getting these things started?

Thanks for any tips. No replies from APC on this yet.

False alarm!  There was yellow tape covering the battery backup plugs so I didn't see them. I was plugged into the surge protector side only.

Works fine now!

Hi,

The UPS is sold with the battery disconnected. Verify that the battery has been connected properly. If the battery is not connected properly the Replace Battery LED will flash.

yes, the battery is connected and the provided app indicates battery is charged 100%. Also the light is green, although it looks more yellow than green to me. Everything I see in the App on my  PC indicates it's fully operational. But when I pull the plug, the monitor and PC immediately go dark. The piece of paper taped to the unit when I unpacked showed all QA tests passed.

The question is, is it a valid test to just pull the AC plug from the wall outlet to test if it works or do I need to pop the  breaker? Problem there is I'd have to pop 5-6 breakers since I don't know which one controls this outlet, then I'd have to reset a bunch of clocks and wait 45 min for the cable boxes to reset themselves, thus incuring the rath of my better half.
