back ups es 750 phone line issue

when I connect my samsung clx6260fw multifuntion printer's phone line through my es750, the phone line does not work when using the fax feature of the MF unit. The phone line connect through the es750 does work when I use only the phone but for some reason, the phone line is corrupted somehow when connected to my mf printer for fax use.

any idea why the back up ups would cause the phone line to malfunction when connected to my new multifunction unit?

Hi CJ,

Is your fax a separate line /extension number? Example voice line is 123-456-7890 and the fax is 123-456-7891 If they are separate then the issue could be cause by the UPS protects / passes current from the 2 center wires and the fax may be using the opposite 2 wires.
