I purchased an XS900 on 12/30 and it's been in operation since that date with no issue. I have a PC server, monitor and external HDD plugged into the XS900. This morning it began emitting a continuous beep but only the green On Line indicator is lit. The unit doesn't beep with just the monitor and external HDD turned on, but does start beeping when I turn on the PC. The PC, a server, is operating correctly when powered on. As I stated before, these three devices have been powered on continuously with the XS900 since 12/30.
Thanks!

are you able to install powerchute personal edition on to a computer so we can see what the UPS thinks the load on the UPS is? it is available for download on the APC.com website or it should be on the CD that came with the UPS. you can then hook up the data cable between the UPS and computer.
and has the unit successfully supported the load since 12/30 that you have witnessed? such as during a power blip or a self test? i am just wondering if the unit has successfully transferred to battery and provided battery back up.
if it were an overload though, i would still expect the overload LED to come on though to tell you that its overloaded.
