I've spent an hour searching the forum before I posted. Lots of related posts, but no answer to my problem. Thanks for any replies!
I'm setting up a new Windows 7 64 bit system. It has gone very well until I tired to install the latest version of PowerChute. The installation went great with no problems, but when I try to start the program, I get the following error:

I've tried everything I can think of including shutting down my virus program. No luck.
Would really appreciate any replies!!! Thanks.

I solved this issue by changing both the startup shortcut and the main program shortcut to "Run the program as an administrator".

I am running Norton Internet Security v18.1.0.37, but can't see an issue with it and PowerChute. Thanks.

ok, don't shoot the messenger on this solution and how silly it might be but it is at least fixed for those of you that have it.

This morning ( Saturday ), I found the same condition, when I tried to to get out of
hybernation, the UPS "On Battery" light came on, as well as the alarm, which
forces a hard shutdown and reboot.
Can I download and install the previous version, 3.0.1?
It did not exhibit this problem.

Not exactly the same issue, but since installing PowerChute Personal 3.0.2
for Windows 7, when my system goes into hybernation ( at night ), the next
morning I find the "On Battery" light on and I am unable to bring my system
out of hybernation.
After doing an ugly power down, and reboot, the UPS appears to work fine.
I did not have this problem with the previous version, only after installing
the Windows 7 version of PowerChute Personal 3.0.2.
I even went through the process of uninstalling, downloading and reinstalling, and
having the same problem.

Hi Ray,
Since you have mentioned that the On Battery LED was lit, do you have any idea if there was a power problem that occurred? Does it always happen everyday?

I just installed 3.0.2, on Monday ( 02/20 ), and it happened on both
Monday night and Tuesday night. It is strange, because I am
normally out all day and the system goes into hyberation, during the
day, too.
So, installed Monday - Tuesday morning found the problem, hard shutdown and reboot.
Wednesday morning found the problem, hard shutdown and reboot.
This morning, Thursday, I deinstalled PowerChute for Windows 7 and installed
PowerChute for XP. Willing to try anything.
I can go back to the Windows 7 version, if it would help resolve this.
I am running a 64 bit Quad 4 processor, with Window 7.

I was unable to download from that link, BUT here is the story.
I used Windows program removal tool to remove PowerChute, then installed
PowerChute 3.0.2 for Windows &.
I have not see the problem, in the last two days.
Fingers crossed?
