I have a bn1080g but the unit will not transfer to battery power. When I lose power, everything just turns off and the UPS doesn't alarm, nothing. I've run diagnostics but nothing shows. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,
I am not from APC or other brand. I just told the general trend of servicing of any brand whether its top notch or bottom all have a similar pattern. Once they sold their product and especially after warranty period servicing is a nightmare experience to the user. Need to pick it to the service centre and no specific time dates when it get repaired and also cost of repair which is not predictable even if the complaint is very less as many of the technicians not do chip level servicing or even board servicing instead press for whole board replacement which cost around 80% of total cost of unit.

Unit probably not working. If its on warranty period call their customer care for on site warranty otherwise forget about and buy new one as servicing is expensive and no guarantee if same or other problem comes back and need to spent more as no warranty for repair.

Thanks for the quick response, Prince. This is my second APC to fail. Are you less than impressed with the products over time? I'm starting to think that maybe I might be served to try another brand, just not sure where to go.
