I've seen a few posts on this.
Anyone come up with an answer yet.
Having same problem. Should I get a more expensive UPS? ( I'm sure APC will suggest that 🙂 )
I assume it is a surge or something since it works fine when just unplugged from wall.
Power goes out for like a second then returns UPS does not kick in the battery.
Unplug from wall and all is fine.
This is all just standard home computer equipment. One Computer and 2 monitors. That is all that is plugged into it.
Using the BE600M1
Any help would be appreciated. This is the whole reason I bought the UPS - It's kind of useless as is... I can maybe use it as a paperweight. 🙂
Thanks

Hi Bill thanks for the reply.
I have not had any long power outages so can not tell if the battery kicks in on actual outages.
But if I just unplug it from the wall, the battery does immediately kick in and keep the machine running as if nothing ever happened.
It has a problem when the an actual outage happens, but the outage is like flipping a switch off and then immediately back on again. It is then that the computer shuts off.
I tried it by plugging the UPS into a power strip and powering an immediate on and off with the switch and the UPS works fine.
It seems to only have the problem during and actual power glitch from the power company.

Hi,
It may be a compatibility issue with the PC power supply. If the power goes out for more than a second does the PC stay up?
