UPS with pwm (pulse width modulation)

Helo everyone. Forgive me for my english, I am French and I try to do my best.

I am a student, in april-may I will pass some competition for engineer school, one of the matter consist in the study of a technological objet of my choice.
I want to do it with an ups, but I have some difficulties in finding the good one. I am seeking for an ups using pwm technology, so I think that a line-interactive sinus may be good. Which ups do you recommend ? Considering I have about 100-200 $ ?

I am also seeking for technical document (some electronic diagram) Do you know where I can find one ? do you think that a firm accept to give me some?

Here are our Line Interactive UPS, they are called Smart-UPS - [APC Smart-UPS|http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=165]. Keep in mind that our Smart-UPS SC UPS provides a step approximated sinewave while the rest are line interactive.

Unfortunately, we do not provide electronic diagrams. Only those diagrams that are on the user manual is what we have.
