UPS sends system into Hibernation instead of Shutdown

Hi,

Last week I purchased the CyberPower SX650G.

Installed the "PowerPanel Personal Edition" on windows 8.

When Power fails I need the UPS to shutdown the computer, but the UPS sends it into a Hibernation state. Because of this after after the computer is in hibernation mode for a minute or so, it starts up again, and while its booting up the UPS switches off. That's as good as having no UPS. i believe the hibernation state is causing the computer to power on again, since the UPS still has power. Tested 3 times with the same results.

So how do I get the CyberPower SX650G to shutdown the computer system instead of sending it into a Hibernation mode.

Happy New Year. CyberPower is a different brand of UPS and is not a Schneider Electric/APC product that we can help with.

Hi Hil. No problem. I didn't realize their software name was so close to ours also.. they make "PowerPanel Personal Edition" and we have "PowerChute Personal Edition."
