I brought a new BX1100C-IN Backup UPS and is working fine. Fan is not running when there is power and no fan when I turn off the UPS. Fan spins when battery is in use, normally when there ia a power failure.
But when I turn off the UPS and remove the ac input, fan started spinning and its not stopping. I removed all devices connected to the UPS, still the fan is spinning. I reconnected the UPS to main ac input. The fan stopped spinning. Do I have to connect the UPS to ac input all the time ??
Is this behaviour normal ??

Hi,
The fan should not run when the UPS is powered off. It will run if the unit is on and AC has been cut to keep the battery cool.
If the unit is off and the fan is running you should contact local support for assistance.
