Hi there,
Running the BackUPS with the attached specs.
Sudden power off experienced, no alarm- just power off UPS, attached PC & Monitor. Messed up PC desktop etc. Possibly a bit of thunder around might have caused an AC power surge.
Powered back on- the red alarm on power switch beeped for 10 minutes. Then back to usual operating green light.
The connection with battery was still lost 5 mins after alarm ceased. It then reconnected, but the attached screenshot shows there is an issue with the battery. Do you think it needs to be replaced?
P.S. Are there any updates to the APC GUI? The form doesn't resize properly in 768p- bottom half is cropped a bit.
Unrelated P.S.2: Does the "Turn Power On" to controlled devices have a corresponding "Turn Power Off"? Are those devices enumerated? Further, are any of the master connected devices ever enumerated on screen?
Thanks for reading

Capn's Log:
Edit: Jerome from support has read the thread, and, having completed the brain dead test, concluded the unit is non functional.
No light on the on/off when the unit is powered on, but the master light is flashing rapidly and beeping.

Yep, the battery is kaput. Had better luck with others in the past. Oh well- the replacement is easy to install?
Hope they rejig the form- there's an issue with buggy drivers when moving the taskbar to the right (as explained in the last post here). Just have to remember to move it to the top or left instead.

Have been running this as a surge protector pending arrival of the new battery.
The unit just suddenly dropped power. It's now disconnected, but when turning it on, it stays on for around 2 seconds, then drops again. Looks like it fails the cycle test- just the green light briefly.

Is a working battery required to make it function at all, or has it been damaged by surge overload, or might it be defective in some other way?
Thanks.
