UPS Puts PC To Sleep Instead Of Shutting Down
I have a Plex server hooked up to a BR1500MS2 at my parents house. My parents get a lot of random, 5-10 second power outages, so having a UPS has been great. I have Powerchute Personal set to Shutdown the computer after 5 minutes of being on backup power.
Last night a big storm knocked out power for about 4 hours. After the outage, the UPS didn't turn the server back on. I realized it was because I probably don't have Power On After AC Restore turned on in my BIOS.
I had my dad hit the power button and when I remoted in to check on things, I checked the event log to see how the shutdown was handled. Powerchute put the PC to sleep and didn't shutdown the PC like it was supposed to. Powerchute says the PC was on backup power for over 14 hours, even though the power was out for 4 hours.
Windows Event ID 42
The system is entering sleep.
Sleep Reason: Application API
Is there something I need to change to get this working properly?
