One, an XS1300, was telling me I needed a new battery, then soon after that it stopped working, reporting a F01 error.

The other unit, and RS1300, seemed fine then started reporting an F01 error.

Nether UPS is working now.

I understand F01 indicates battery overload. I'm not sure that is an issue here since the loads on both PCs were well below what the units are supposed to be able to handle.

Seems I that while I needed a battery for one UPS the other failed with a good battery. I guess there is not point in buying replacement batteries and at this point I am very reluctant to purchase another APC UPS, seeing as the score now stands at 0 for 2.
