Less than 2 year old XS 1300 starting beeping. Battery icon showed no charge. Replaced batteries. Icon showed charging to 2 bars with new batteries then slowly bars disappeared. Now unit will not stay on at all. Pressing "On" results in short red flash at the LCD panel and a single beep. I did the "brain dead test" to reset memory but still the unit will not stay on and I used several different outlets for power source. Is the unit shot but the new batteries still good? Thanks. Len

bq. I suggest that you get in touch with APC tech support via chat or by phone to check if your UPS is still in warranty and if you can have the unit replaced.
