I have an ES 550 that's about 5 years old. The other day, I had a space heater plugged into the battery protection side...and I think it blew it out. The heater stopped working, and now I only get power from the surge protector side.
I didn't realize what the problem was and I actually got a replacement battery. Well, it's not a battery issue since that battery protection side still doesn't work. Is there a way to reset it so I can try to get those outlets to work or did I fry it?

Is there anything that might work if I take it apart some? I'd really like to fix this. Again, none of the outlets on the battery protection side work. The surge protection side works fine.

Hi Noam,
I am not certain how effective a UPS brain-dead (logic reset) would be in this case, but it's certainly worth a try: you can find instructions in this article on how to perform it.
Other than that, I also recommend checking if the UPS circuit breaker has tripped, this can be reset if it "popped" out.

That didnt seem to work. Any other ideas? What's weird is it didnt seem to trigger the circuit breaker. I wonder if that changes what I can do to repair it.
Thanks!
