I replaced the battery on this unit and load tested...looking for 15 min. but failing at 6:30. Tried another new battery with same results. We have several of these and monitor them all with same load test. Is it worth opening to troubleshoot? Are there parts available? Is sending it in for repair worth trying?
Thank you,

Matt,
I've only been with PRG alittle over a year. From the records on this unit i have, it's had problems all along. Been checked into service multiple times from battery prematurely failing. They should have sent it in to APC back when the problems began. I will just retire it. I wanted to exhaust my options first.
Thank you Sir,
jl

Hi John
Could you tell me the model number of the UPS and I can see what other steps we can recommend to try.
Thanks
Matt

Matt,
Thank you for the reply. It is a Back-UPS Pro 1000. Data tag reads BR1000G S/N-3B1038X51752
This unit had problems when it was in warranty according to our records. Same issue, would not hold up after battery change. I don't know what was done to it other than it went in to APC. It is several years old now.
Thank you,
John

Hi John
Looking at our records the case in 2013 says the battery was RMA'd as the original one wasn't holding charge.
There are no user replaceable parts with this UPS and no process for repair, but we do have a trade UPS program where you can trade the UPS for a discount on a new one.(See https://www.apc.com/shop/tradeups/us/en/tradeups/overview.jsp)
Regards
Matt
