I have a UPS - LS700, which I've been happy with for some time now. But suddenly during the past week it started behaving as though there were a lot of line noise, and none of the usual explanations seem to apply:
1) I have a surge protector (2000+ joules) in between the UPS and the wall socket.
2) I live on the 16th floor of a high-rise condo - no outside effects here! And I don't know that any of my neighbors run any electrical appliances at 3am (I get this problem 24 hours/day).
3) I did fairly recently install a new wireless router, however, it was in operation about two weeks before this started, and it replaced an older wireless router that had been running for two years with no ill effects.
4) The UPS itself is about four years old. The battery is one year old.
Any ideas before I conclude my UPS is possessed and I should hire an exorcist? Activity log attached. There is one long break during the day when my computer was turned off, otherwise it's been on.

hi
to begin, APC always recommends plugging the UPS directly into the wall, rather than into a surge protector which is then plugged into the wall. [see this article on that issue|http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1372]
are you able to bring it to a different location just incase? i am unable to open the event log but what are you seeing in there? is it just all electrical noise events?
at this point, i have no reason to believe that there isnt a legitimate noise problem but i would see if you can take it to a different location if at all possible rather than definitely deeming it as the UPS being possessed 😉
