Hello,
Just ordered a UPS 450 watt (750 VA) UPS for home use on my PC.
(I think it was called an ES, or maybe just an E; thir most basic line for home UPS usage)
Was wondering about the non-battery 110V outlets, and their surge protection.
a. Are these outlets "surge and transient" protected better than the typical outlet-strips, the kind with 6 outlets on them usually, that one see in Home Depot, Best Buy, etc., that have, I believe, typically just a MOV from the hot side to ground ?
If so how, please ? What do the APC UPS units use and have ?
How about filtering ?
b. Are the battery-protected outlets also surge protected, etc. ?
Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
