SmartUPS SMC1000 Replacement Battery
Hello,
I have an SMC1000 that is only a year old, but I recently had an SMC1500 fail with an F01 code and decided I might like to have a replacement battery on hand for the SMC1000. The manual says the battery is:
APCRBC142
I cannot find any battery like this anywhere. The closets is APCRBC124, which is for the 2U version. Any better information available?
Thanks!
Dan

Both the SMC1000 and SMC1500 are new units that we have released and I have confirmed that the battery for SMC1000 is APCRBC142 while the SMC1500 uses an RBC6. These UPSs do have a 2 year warranty on them, should you have any issue(s) feel free to call our Technical Support Team.

Also, if you keep replacement batteries on hand for longer than six months, be sure to have a battery management system or other way to keep them charged. Batteries will self-discharge and become damaged if left on a shelf for much longer.
