Smart-ups 1000 - 5 beeps every 60 seconds

My SMT1000RMI2U started last week beeping 5 times every 60 seconds.

Battery pack is relatively new (8 months).

It emmits 3 shorts beeps followed by a short double-beep.  (. . . ..)

The beeps are quieter and shorter than beeps when UPS is  in "battery on" state, but still annoying enough.

Self-test passed, callibration passed, nothing in the logs.

Google did not help at all, there are no hints to 5 beeps at all.

I have latest FW on NMC2 and UPS too.

Any help would be appretiated.

Make a short video of this happening and provide a direct link for review. Given you stated the logs don't show anything there isn't a lot to go on. If email alerts are setup along with SNMP Trap monitoring it would offer more insight.

If neither are in place (E-MAIL / SNMP) set them up now to gather more technical insight. 

Generally speaking beeping from the unit indicates the following in no specific order of relevance or importance. Assuming they apply to your model UPS such as the following:

- Loss of AC Mains. Low battery, over (internal) temp, relay weld, EPO invoked upon power up, AVR trim / boost active, over load of outputs, building wiring faults, battery end of life, shut down in progress, etc.
