Hi all, my old SUA1500 just died on me. I have a PC and A Netgear NAS which I was connection the UPS to the NAS (for shutdown) and on the PC I was using Winnut to monitor the NAS for the PC to shutdown.
I just got a great deal on a SMT1500 with a NMC AP9631 network card. So my plan is to use the network card to signal shutdown my PC and the NAS. On the PC I have install PowerChute Serial Shutdown and on the NAS I use the SNMP to monitor the UPS (Communication is online).
At the moment for testing no component are plug into the SMT1500 outlet. They are on a powerbar until i can figure everything is working.
I have include my PC and NAS IP adress in the client section
To test shutdown I have tried this:
Control UPS - Turn off UPS outlet groups - activated signal powerchute network shutdown
PC and NAS does not shutdown using this.
try it again but I plug the USB cable from the UPS to the PC. Now the PC is shutting down but I still have problem with the NAS shuting down.
Do I need something to activat for snmp for the NAS to received the shutdown signal ?
How can I make my PC shutdown without having to plug the USB cable ?
I though that this would be easy but it's not.
Thanks for you help

It appears nobody wanted to help you with this question so better late than never. 🤣
The NAS will use the USB cable that’s connected to the UPS. You may install and use APC PCNS and use the NMC AP9631 to initiate the graceful shutdown of the computer system. 👍
