Replacement of a faulty UPS case.

Hi ! I am from India and own a  APC BR1000G-IN UPS. The product is still under warranty. Recently it stopped working. The customer care guy told me that the case of the UPS is faulty and he is later replacing my UPS with a refurbish one. When i asked him that whether you should repair my product or replace it with new one he told me that the company is following the policy of replacing the faulty product or parts with  refurbish one.

Kindly guide me on the same. Is the same warranty policy is being followed by  APC  across the world ? Should i accept the refurbish  case as my replacement?

Hi,

It would depend on the age of the UPS. How old was the unit that was replaced?

Hi,

A UPS of that age would be replaced with one of similar age that has been inspected and certified reconditioned.
