BackUPS 700, Estimated time < 1 min

I7-2600, 16GM RAM, GTX960, 2tB HDD  + 128Gb SSD, OSZ 750W PU

Windows 10 (1703, build 15063.608)
BackUPS ES 700G (RBC17 Battery)

PowerChute 3.0.2

I'm getting notification "Estimated time < 1 min" ob fresh battery with 100%

But two days ago it was okay with about 30 minutes.

Is there any way to reset APC UPS battery status or smth like this?

When I simulate blackout - it works for 2 mins only with 100% discharge.

Hi,

How old is the battery and how often does the UPS switch to battery? Also, what does PowerChute report for the load?

In addition to what Bill said,

It's also possible that the battery contacts are not making full contact.   Try removing the battery pack and reinstalling it.

UPS switches to battery very rare.

And there are two batteries (3-year one and new one)

Both with same simptoms

.

Having a  3 year old battery and one new battery is probably not helping.

The older battery has lost a good bit of it's capacity and is probably causing the problem.

In all likelihood  the older battery also has a much higher internal resistance than the newer battery.

Always replace batteries in pairs.

No, i mean that i have two batteries. one is 3year and one is new. And i've tested both independetly, cause BackUPS 700 need only one battery.

I haven't such option

Non "self-test", not "battery replace"

in 2013  here was thread with same problem, but with no solutution.

PowerChute 3.0.2 doesn't have such options.

mmm i guess you need to test that new battery, if the battery is ok you can verify that the ups is charging the battery ,  when you have your battery tested and ok you need to disconnect the input to discharge battery and then connect again to charge it , im almost sure that powerchute must detect this charge and put your real runtime,

no luck^(

Powerchute reports about < 1 min with 100% charge

But when i simulate blackout, UPS works for minimum 3 minutes... smth strange in fact.

i think, that the problem is in ups itself.
