What is the best practice for maintaining a ups batteries life? For instance, when moving a ups battery is it best to turn it off by the power button and then unplug? Sometimes after doing this the ups will beep every few minutes, but the beep with eventually go away.

Hi valpal1919, in general turning the UPS off and moving it should not effect how it operates. Usually the best thing for a UPS unit is to be plugged in an turned on all the time. If you are going to have the UPS off for a significant amount of time it is usually recommended to have the battery disconnected, and then reconnect the battery before you use the UPS again. Hope this helps.
