In PowerChute Personal Edition 2.0.0, it says "Note: Power problems of a very short duration are not recorded here". Just wondering what exactly is a "very short duration"? One second? Half a second? I know that it will record problems that last 4 seconds...

Good day slapc,
The duration is 4 seconds, this is the frequency of polling the UPS.
Example:
We query the UPS now and see that all is well. And after 1 second the UPS goes to back-up for 2 seconds and gets back to normal operation in the next second. After 4 seconds when we query the UPS again the status will show as normal and the events which happened in these 4 seconds will not be captured.

Good question..I had the same query when I saw this detail in the PCPE software. I believe that the PCPE software will not record the events which last lesser than 4 secs.
