Product inquiry: UPS designed for long endurance uising 3rd party batteries.

I'm  tired or replacing tiny batteries that cost the same as automotive batteries.

I am looking for a unit that is designed to be a small box that connects to a car battery. It has ONE outlet that I can run to a pwoer bar, and a cord that plugs into the wall outlet, and a pair of wires to connect to a conventtional car battery or deep cycle marine battery.

The unit is smart enough to figure out from the charging pattern and discharge voltage drop a reasonable esitmate of the potential run time.

The unit has be be silent in backup.  Ok if it has a cooling fan when actually working.  But it should be able to sustain many hours of continious running in backup mode.

Why?

I live rurally.  I don't turn my computer off.  It runs a server.  Our outages tend to be a few seconds, or as much as   16 hours.  We have several that are over 2 hours each year.

I have yet to have a system that shut down properly from APC's powerchute.  Most of hte time it won't install.  Almost all of my servers are highly customized weird operating sytems.  I'd rather they just didn't shutdown.

In 2024 given the advancements in battery technology why would you ever waste finances on a SLA / Lead Acid Battery UPS?!? 🤦‍♂️

If long term durability, extended runtime, and service life is the goal. Invest in a LiFePO4 battery system that will provide thousands of cycles vs hundreds. These same batteries also offer 100% depletion without harm or damage which equates to longer operational runtime! 👍

You could buy a APC branded Lithium UPS or build one yourself for five times less.

Buy once - Cry once . . . 🤟
