Powerchute with Back-UPS 1500 (BN1500M2-CA) Auto shutdown after PC hibernate
I have a PC (with data cable going to UPS), a Raspberry Pi and IP switch connect to my UPS. I configured in PowerChute Personal Edition v3.1.0 to hibernate the PC after 2 minutes running on the battery. I want to keep the battery autonomy for the Raspberry Pi and IP switch. When the UPS go on the battery, I see ~120 minutes of autonomy remaining on the UPS for the PC, Raspberry Pi and IP switch. After 2 minutes the PC will hibernate, once the PC is off the autonomy go up to ~300 minutes. ~2 min after the PC is powered off, the UPS will shutdown by itself.
Any idea how to solve this? I think the issue is in PowerChute. We should have the option to not turn off the UPS once the PC is powered off.
I made few tests when the UPS go on the battery:
After the PC is powered off and the UPS auto shutdown, if I power on back the UPS on battery olny, the UPS will run with the Raspberry Pi and IP switch until battery died.
If I change the parameter in PowerChute to hibernate the PC when there is 5 minutes left on the battery. The PC will hibernate as expected, the UPS battery will increase but the UPS will auto shutdown ~2 minutes after the PC is powered off.
If I remove the data cable between PC and UPS before putting the UPS on battery. The PC will not hibernate, and all equipment will stay up until battery is dead.
