I just want to ask if Powerchute is enable to wake my computer up from Sleep mode (Vista 64bit) and shut it down in the event of power outage.
I have enabled the option "Allow this device to wake the computer" in Device Manager. But I'm still not sure, because as I understand, Sleep mode powers off almost all devices including USB; so, does that option maintain the power and connection of my UPS to the PC?
Also, do I need to change the "USB selective suspend setting" in Power Option (currently Disabled)?
TIA

I have heard no word of this. We used to have a serial to serial cable, which I believe we still do, which mimics mouse movement for this, but again, it's serial, which never really becomes inactive when going to sleep.

Once the UPS goes to sleep, the USB port is now inactive until the PC is awake. So it won't be able to shut everything down gracefully.

OK, so is there any plan for future version of Powerchute to be able to do this? (like simulating a key press to wake the PC up)?
