Have a new ES 750 with the computer plugged into the "Master" , monitor and speakers plugged into "Controlled by Master" plugs.
Win XP SP 2
Just had a power outage (lasted about 4 seconds) but the computer seemed to shut down rather than switch to the UPS and keep running. All the settings in PowerCute are basically the default ones.
Sometimes PowerChute pops a message saying it lost connection with the UPS.
Ran the diagnostic test and the UPS passes with 11 minutes remaining and supplying about 130W.
My concern is that the computer seemed to shut down rather than switch over to the UPS.
Any suggestions?
Txs
EDIT:
Tried unplugging the UPS and it's not the computer shutting down , switches to UPS just fine , it's the monitor and other things plugged into the "Controlled by Master" plugs that threw me.
So , is this normal or is there a setting I can change so that at least the monitor stays on during power outages.

Txs.
I read the fold out that came with the UPS but guess I didn't quit understand that the controlled outlets weren't powered.
That seems odd to me...but changed monitor over to one of the other plugs and all is as it should be.
