Just purchased a 550VA, connected battery, and charged up. Is it normal for the green power light to flash for about 5-10 seconds every time I turn it on? It also beeps but only once. After that, everything seems to be OK.
Thank you,
Acadia

Yes, this means the unit is performing a startup self-test of the battery. If the light flashes and then stays solid after, that's fine. If the battery was to fail the self test...you would get a replace battery indicator and a constant tone from the unit.
