I have APC UPS model model BX1500LCD that is 3 years old. As a UPS it seems to functioning OK.
But, recently on three occasions there has been a pop (speakers) and the system goes down. For about
15 seconds the UPS emits a cricket like sound after which everything seems OK. There is no power
interruption that I can detect. If I unplug the UPS the emergency power switches on. The sound that the
UPS emits is different than the sound I hear when I have a power interruption..... not as loud and not that
annoying beep, beep, beep......and, it only last a few seconds. Anybody have an idea as to what is going
on?

Can you direct me to place that will instruct me as to how to get the information you request from the UPS. Or, maybe you can just tell me. I looked at APC earlier for a manual with no luck. Thanks.

The UPS Serial number can be found on a white bar code sticker at the rear or bottom of the unit. Please refer the UPS user manual page.2 in order to view the UPS runtime and the load power consumption etc., Click here to download the user manual in case if you need it.
