I was running Powerchute Business Edition 10.0.4 recently on Windows 10 21H2 for an SMT-1500.
The Event log would periodically show an Event saying
"A new version is available. URL :https://www.apc.com/pcbe".
I just downloaded and updated to PBE 10.0.5, but I still seem to be getting the same event after the update.
I thought maybe I needed to update the firmware on the unit, but I believe I updated it using The Update Wizard 4.2.1 some months back.
Any idea what I'm supposed to do to get rid of the repeated update available nag?
Thanks.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We are looking into this and I will report back once I know more.
In the mean time if you uninstall the Agent and perform a clean install the issue is resolved. I understand performing a clean install is not optimal but it does resolve the issue.

We have reviewed this issue and will be correcting it with the next release of the PowerChute Agent.
As I wrote earlier, the issue is resolved if you uninstall the Agent and perform a clean install. We understand performing a clean install is not optimal, but it fix the problem.

Thanks.
If I decide to not wait, and just uninstall/re-install, will that remove the data or event log history?
Or will that be preserved?

The historical data will be removed. You can save the data prior to uninstalling. Go to About and scroll down. You will see create PowerChute Zip. The zip file will be created in the PowerChute folder. Move the file to new location and then uninstall. The zip will include historical events in a text files for viewing. The data log can be opened using excel or a text editor.
