Hi,
I have an old Smart UPS 1250 VA (this one: http://www.recycledgoods.com/images/s_p_25861_1.jpg )
standing here, but it suddenly stopped working correctly
The green "On line" LED is blinking when i turn it on, indicating it is testing itself, but after that all LED's go blinking, and i hear a beep.
I get no power output at all.
I made a video so you guys visually know what happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lelexDFEdcM
P.S I tried with 2 different sets of batteries, both gave the same problem

i was finally able to watch the video. it seems to indicate a DC bus problem to me which would require a UPS repair/replacement 😞

i cant look at the video just this second and will later, but generally all of the LEDs flashing indicates a DC bus problem.
i will confirm after i am able to view the video.
if you havent already, you could try braindeading the UPS but you may have already done that based on what you said you tried.
to braindead:
-remove all load from the UPS as well as any communication cables.
-unplug/remove the UPS from the AC power.
-hold down the off (o) button on the UPS until you hear an audible click (if you had the batteries removed for more than 10 minutes or so with AC power unplugged, this click would have occurred.)
-reconnect everything and see if does the same thing.

The UPS is standing here without batteries connected, so all the energy that was inside is already flown away.
Is this the same as the braindead?
When i test it reconnect the batteries (original 2x 12V 17Ah, but i use 2x 12V 7Ah)
And it isn't always doing this by the way.
Sometimes it just works, but if i pull the AC cord it still goes into the "disco" mode.
